And that day I found out I had squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue cancer of the tongue.

Now, I didn't know that even existed.

I didn't know you could get cancer in your mouth like on your tongue.

That was so bizarre to me.

And on top of that, I was a 39 year old mom who ran triathlons and half marathon, who ate

super healthy.

I was not a smoker, had never been a smoker, you know, just didn't make any sense.

And nobody could explain it to me.
