Summary
253 Max talks with Seth Lake about ICAO Equipment Codes needed to file a FAA Flight Plan. In 2019, the FAA adopted the International Flight Plan standard, which requires you to enter many equipment codes for your aircraft. Seth uses the SF50 Vision Jet as an example, and also talks about codes for the Garmin 430, GTN650, 750 and G1000. He recommends you keep the codes handy for pop-up IFR clearances.
