Coming up on today's show, we'll be discussing the surge of anti-Semitism on university

So since the 7th of October attacks there's been a huge rise in anti-Semitism

across the West one thing that's been really notable is how much this has taken

off in universities among the most supposedly educated and tolerant section of the population.

I mean if you look to the US, just this week there was at Harvard, a Jewish student was being

hounded, people were shouting shame at him, not letting him leave.

At Cornell University there was even a death threat, a student allegedly saying he was going to bring an assault rifle to

canvas to go and shoot up Jews. Over here we've seen similar things we've seen

Jewish chaplaincies targeted the various anti-Semitism campaigns have said there's been

around 74 incidents I think just in the past month or so. Joe what is going on here?

No it's truly shocking and you're absolutely right there've been some horrendous incidents

with Jewish students in particular being targeted Palestinian flags draped over cars

Israeli... Indian flags draped over cars, Israeli flags where the Star of David's been replaced with

the swastika.

And I think a number of things are really noticeable.

I mean, one thing is if these students who are so sensitive are

students who are so sensitive to racism. You know, every racist micro-aggression is

noted and protested against. And if you look at the way Black Lives Matter protests swept

across university campuses across the whole of the Western world and the way you really

had an institutional response to the killing of George Floyd, have very, very different.
