All right, I am here with Todd Curtis for part four of our four-part series on budgeting

with a variable income, which is just budgeting with a few little

focal points.

Todd, we haven't yet talked about Rule 3.

For anyone that's new here, it's what we call it on what the punch is and it

basically means change your budget when you need to. Looking through the

lens of a variable income budgeter, how does Rule 3 change for them?

So I think it's just, you have to be even more flexible.

Rule 3 kind of is really ironic to me for a variable income folks because they've got the idea they chose a career

a job where the income was going to go up and down but somehow sometimes some of them still think that

their budget shouldn't change along with it.

So it's maybe recognizing that a little bit earlier and being more willing to realize that

variable needs,

priorities go with your variable income.

and spending money that's at least 30 days old
