What is the rapture? The rapture is that future event when Christ will descend from heaven

And then we will be reunited with loved ones who have preceded us.

If we die, our spirit goes into God's presence, our body stays in the ground.

When the rapture comes, our body is resurrected.

Yes, a bodily resurrection happens.
