Hello and welcome to the Truth Seekers podcast.

A truth seeker is someone who wants to know the truth.

They search for what's true and they won't rest until they find it.

I am a true seeker, and if you are

too, then you've come to the right place where we will search for truth each week in the

stories of the Bible. In yesterday's episode, we learned about the death of Jesus on the cross.

The body of Jesus was wrapped in linen cloth and placed in a tomb.

All seemed lost.

The poor disciples, they had gone into hiding and locked the doors behind them

for fear that the Jewish leaders might come after them too.

I wonder what they were thinking.

I wonder if they were feeling hopeless and afraid. I wonder if they were thinking. I wonder if they were feeling hopeless and afraid.

I wonder if they were thinking,

how could the man we have followed as our master, teacher, and friend

for the past three years have been killed?

Wasn't he the one who was supposed to be the Messiah?

This wasn't supposed to happen to the Messiah.

Or was it?

If only the disciples had listened closely to what Jesus had said,

they would have gone back to a conversation he had with them not that long ago.
