The topic of mansplaining is going viral in the stand-up comedy world again.

0:13.3

I've seen a lot of stand-up comedy clips about this topic.

0:17.7

You know, mansplaining, the idea is that, I think the idea behind it from what I can

0:23.3

get from these, the stand-at pieces, is that men tend to think that they are smarter than women

0:29.2

and that women, like, don't know anything and need men to explain it to them. Is that, you've

0:37.2

heard of mansplaining, right?

0:38.1

I want to caution you against buying into this idea too much because I think it's not good for you.

1:22.0

And I think it activates your reticular activating system in the wrong way. And you know you're at the right

1:31.5

podcast. This is definitely Jen's podcast that we're already, we're like less than two minutes in

1:36.6

and we're already talking about the reticular activating system and all that. I do, but I do,

1:42.0

I think it makes you see the world in an incorrect way that won't,

1:47.7

it won't help your relationships with men, but, but it also won't help your self-esteem. And I,

1:54.3

I think that this is kind of rampant, actually, among, among modern, modern women. And I see, I see a lot of different perspectives being in stand-up comedy.
