Our guest today is Daniel Suarez.

He's a former systems consultant to Fortune 1000 companies and has designed mission critical

software for the defense, Finance, and Entertainment Industries.

In 2006, his self-published novel Demon about a rogue AI became a runaway bestseller on Amazon.com

that led to a publishing deal with Dutton who have also

published all of his subsequent novels including Freedom T.M. Kill decision and

influx. And we'll be speaking with him today about his new book change agent.

welcome to the show.

Hey it's great to be here. Okay so I saw that you once had a Dungeons and Dragons campaign that ran continuously

for eight years.

So tell us about that.

Actually, I think it was probably more like 10.

But I'd say eight years solid and then people go to college they get jobs and life starts to intrude

But yeah, I I may have said this previously, but I like to think that that's where I started to learn to tell stories, was being

a moderator for a campaign and sustaining player interest.

And one of the great things about T&D you know this is

tabletop D&D you know same people is it's a great focus group for your fiction

...
