Hello everybody! Today it's an exciting one because it's an episode that has been requested

0:15.3

specifically by you, the listener. We had a lovely listener right in who had just begun

0:20.0

their coming out journey in their mid-30s and they had recently come out to close friends

0:25.0

and family and they were looking for a resource which they could circulate to friends and families

0:29.6

to bring them up to speed on what a person coming out may be experiencing and ways that these

0:35.7

friends and family could help and support them. I'll read out the email that kicked off this whole

a load of questions about your coming out stories, how you were supported, how you could have been

1:11.7

episode with him of Homo sapiens available on the feed. He's a professional Scottish football

1:32.1

league player who has recently come out and he's one of the first male professional football players

1:37.0

in the world to do so and a lot of the work he does revolves around coaching, helping and

1:42.8

supporting LGBTQ plus people. So he is our expert today and he has also someone who would define

1:49.2

himself as coming out later in life which is actually very similar to the person who wrote in.

1:53.6

This is a long overdue resource which hopefully helps a lot of people. We loved making it and also

1:58.8

what's really nice about it is loads of you sharing your stories, beautiful stories, but some really

2:04.4

funny moments, very tender, bittersweet moments. Let's keep this resource going, let's see if there's
