Summary

Despite the ongoing hardware "crisis," plenty of next generation hardware news continues to leak out of Xbox. This time, we have Project Magnus courtesy of Moore's Law Is Dead! Set to release in 2027, this console will (as expected) feature some Windows elements and go head-to-head with the pre-built PC market. To help break all of this down, Jimmy Champane of Deck Ready is here. Beyond Project Magnus, we get into a newly released piece of Xbox hardware in the Xbox Ally. Is it worth your money and what does it tell us about the future of Xbox's unified Windows approach? A lot, it seems! Beyond that, we tackle a new-ish structure for the show, covering everything from Xbox to PlayStation and Nintendo. Much of our show is shaped by you, so we hope you enjoy the inclusion and look forward to reading your thoughts. We're recorded the way to 1,000. How about? Pretty good here. As always, I'm joined by Lord Demio himself, Lord Cognito. How are we? Thank you, sir. Yeah, man, this is Demio gang. You already know. It's going down, man. We'll talk about it a little bit, a lot of battle marked, man. Yes, sir. I'm addicted. It got me. Yeah, we also, a lot of other things we play. We got some family in the building. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. I know. Makes his rounds on L.S. But has been on the Dukes in a while. Jimmy Champaign. How are you doing, my friend? Good. I was just checking behind me to see if I had anything that was embargoed. I was like, I didn't even check before we started recovering. We're safe. We're safe. Oh, that big got Phil Spencer's shelf back there, which is good. Let me go see. He got see. Yeah. Let's see what you want. There's a clock. There's some sponsor stuff. Just all my. You have a great setup. I love it. Yeah. I remember when you first moved in there and you were like redoing the whole place. And just like, yeah, it was completely empty.

2:52.5

Yeah. You got like a mixture of like a workbench and everything there. It's awesome. I love it. Yeah. That sucked to get down here. Yeah. I can imagine. I can imagine. But dude, it's good to have you here because this week, the Xbox ally is out. Xbox is kind enough to send me one in the mail. So I just got mine today. It just like came in a few minutes before the show.

2:52.5

Cog, I think yours is... Xbox is kind enough to send me one in the mail, so I just got mine today. It just like came in a few minutes before the show.

2:56.2

Cog, I think yours is on the way?

2:58.4

3:01.2

There we go. So we had to tag in Lord Deck Ready himself, Jimmy Champaign, to talk about. Lord Deck Ready. I like that. Yes. The man of many names, really. Jimmy, you got a million things going on. I'm going to call you Lord Deck Ready for this one at least. but to talk about the Xbox ally,

3:24.4

because it is a interesting week, as always, for Xbox. Now, let's talk with the audience

3:30.4

real quick. As always, you can write it on patreon.com slash last stand media. We opened last week's

3:35.5

show by Self Cogran. We were talking about the future of Xbox podcasts. And I think a lot of you, you know, I might have got you all a little bit worried that me and Cog were like out out. And I want to just before I read any write-ins or talk about anything else, I want to say like, we're good. We're here. Collins made it very clear. He still wants to keep us even if Xbox were to fade to obscurity. So we're very thankful for that. Don't take it for granted, but to be clear, it's not like we're looking for our exit here. So before we get into what everyone wrote, I'm going to start with this right in here from Blurry. It's Maddie last week you asked for feedback about the idea of the podcast shifting. Focus away from Xbox, given everything that's going on. So I'm just writing to say that I, like many others, tune in every week and pay our Patreon money for you guys and not the Xbox news. I shifted to PC a couple of years ago, but tune in every week to listen to Maddie and Cog. Do what you like with the podcast. I shall be there in full support. As I imagine, many of the community will be too. You guys built this show and Xbox is lucky to have you both flying the flag for so long. Looking forward to remaining a listener and seeing what happens in the future. We will stay here and support the best duo in gaming. Much love. They just announced TM and team match at the gathering set. And I have already spent the Valentine's Day funds on it kind of day. And yeah, well, got to write on that.
