But we knew going into that area that, okay, we found an area where there's fresh

sign and we just had an encounter and even though we messed it up, you know,

hopefully we learned from that, but we were fired up, man, we were fired up

because we felt like we were doing it.

Welcome to the Hunt Backcountry podcast and if you're listening to this as it's

cool story to share and here we are, sharing this months later via the

podcast. But these guys are buddies, actually brother and laws and went to

Montana on a general hunt and filled a deer tag and an elk tag in the same

day. So that's the story that we get into today. It's not just about the success

of that hunt but also the lessons that they have learned over the years hunting

the west. They happen to be from Texas and have an interesting story and
