truth and today we are joined by Ann Kennedy, who is my favorite writer, and

she is a great thinker about current events,

especially as they surround things like ex-Vangelical, deconstruction.

She has been in this fight for many, many years, for decades, actually.

And so the observations that she's been making lately

on social media about the ex- evangelical movement

have been very insightful, very wise.

And so I wanted to have her on to talk about those. We've just gotten off the call. very when we talked about what does it mean when people sort of accuse

uh... evangelicals of being the white evangelical church what does that term even

really mean

uh... where is it coming from and and had some really great insights on that question.

We talked about a new book that's really striking a chord with a lot of people called

the ex- evangelicals loving living and leaving the white evangelical church by Sarah McCammon. And this is a book like I said this really striking accord and has read it and is

reviewing it for the Christian research journal and I read an article about I haven't

read the book myself but I really felt like what was articulated in this article is sort of the bullseye of what I see in the deconstruction movement. Like this is the formula of deconstruction. And so we discuss that a little bit to help everybody

listening to kind of have an idea of when you

see your friends and loved ones deconstruct,

like what's really going on with them?

And so we talked about that.

And we talked about some of the theological battles in the church right now, some trends that Anne sees that are leaving church is very vulnerable.
