Oh Alonzo! It feels sad, I feel a little sad knowing this is coming up. I know we're entering into a Christmas month but I'm still a little sad that this is coming to a close.

It's a little bittersweet but you know we we we we we we we it's a jumping off point the the caterpillar becomes a butterfly whatever the hell we're ready for the next the next phase of our year round talking about Christmas movies.

It's been a lot of fun. I've watched more black and white movies than I ever anticipated that I wouldn't my life and you watch the Polar Express.

So it was a successful experiment I think all all across all across the board I would say and we've got really great feedback too.

We've got some of emails and comments saying how much they've loved this. Some people say that this is their favorite one of the week and I do think it might have something to do with day and not being here or Tracy.

Tracy, Ray, Dan, they're all not present on these ones which is shocking. You know look you got to mix it up and I think you you appreciate the bits more when you're occasionally deprived of those.

Any streaming service any streaming service I see this movie hanging out and I've always just been like whatever maybe one day and I've seen it on I know that you know rift tracks does a thing and all sorts of different like reasons why I should have already seen it.

But I have mystery size theater and rift track and cinematic Titanic which is the thing that Joel Hodgson was doing for a while with a lot of MST alums all did episodes about this movie and all managed to not repeat any jokes so this is definitely like a fertile ground for a goofing.

The fact that I haven't seen this is really something and so it's a good. Well it does predate your birth so.

So the title is the classic 1964 Santa Claus conquers the Martians.

Yeah and the thing about is like this is well we'll get into it but I'll do some some plot first why not Santa Claus conquers the Martians premiered on November 14th 1964 and went a little something like this.

The children of Mars who have been treated like adults and never been allowed to laugh and play spend their days gumbly glued to TV broadcasts from Earth especially any show dealing with Santa Claus.

Concerned about the young people Martian ruler Kimar organizes an expedition to Kintnap Santa and to bring him to the red planet.

Clumsy Drapo tags along and the Martians also wind up kidnapping Earth kids Billy and Betty for their valuable Santa related intel.

Back on Mars the evil Voldar tries to eliminate Santa but accidentally makes off with Drapo instead dressed in the red suit.

Santa eventually realizes that Drapo can become the new Martian Santa so the jolly old man bids farewell to the kids of Mars including Kimar's daughter Girmar played by Pia Zedora more on that moment.
