I'm Dr. Aviva Rong. The topic of allergies is so important to me that I created a course on it called allergy epidemic. Why is it so important to me?

Well it's not just that runny noses and itchy eyes or itchy skin are so horrible, although having suffered from allergies terribly as a kid,

I do know how uncomfortable they can be.

But allergies are the tip of an iceberg of a bigger problem that's facing our kids.

We're living in a world that has so many triggers and disruptors

to the immune system that allergies are the surface of what we see.

But they are a harbinger of other problems that can result long term from dis functions in the immune system, including things like

overweight, obesity, and diabetes.

So today I am thrilled to bring to you a guest who I actually discovered over 30 years ago when I was a

young mom trying to figure out how to feed my own first child healthy in that transition from breastfeeding to food.

And I was a very allergenic kid.

My husband's family also very allergenic we each have brothers who struggled with severe

asthma as children and so I didn't want to pass that on to my kids so I got Dr. Gallen's book, Super Immunity for Kids, and use that as a guide. It is a

real honor and pleasure to share with you a conversation that I had with Dr. Galland and his son Jonathan.
