All right. Welcome everybody. In this short podcast, I'm going to be talking about the case-based integrated step one, you know, or you can call this a basic science review.

So what's the goal of this class? The goal of this class is for two groups of people. Group one, for people taking step one or level one.

And group two is for people taking step one or level one, and group two is for people taking step two or three, or complex level two or three, that have poor basic science foundations.

See, the thing is, step one and level one have become very clinical exams.

In fact, if I'm being honest with you, step one and level one

look like step two of old. And the thing is step two and step three, level two and level three,

have become exams that are not just clinical, but have basic science undertones. In fact, having a good understanding of basic

science concepts in a clinical context is extremely valuable on step two, is extremely

valuable on step three, extremely valuable on level two, extremely valuable on level three.

So what does this course offer? It's a 25 hour course.

It's a 25 hour course. And what it does is that it uses cases. It's a case-based review, right?

So if you're expecting a lecture, then that's not the course for you. It's not. It's a case-based review. It's based on clinical presentations. It's case-based and it integrates things, right? So it can be a question about Michaelis Menting Kinetics that are discussed or the Lion Weaver Burke plot. But then integrations are made with alcohol metabolism or with locovoring or with

trimetoporine sulfometholysisol or with phenytoin or with aspirin, right? Or if I modify this,

how will this change? If I change this variable, how will this change?

Right?

So the thing is with this class, the strengths and the benefits of the class.

Number one is going to be a case-based review.

That's going to be very realistic to the exam that you're going to be taking.

It's going to be what?

A case-based review, right? So you're learning the relevant

basic science content by way of cases. That's actually a really fun way to learn. And that's a method

of learning that is more realistic to the exam that you're going to be taken. That's number one.
