0:45.0

Thanks for having me. I'm excited to be here.

0:47.0

I just said a lot of things about you and what you do, but maybe you want to give your own sort of introduction and talk about your family, your work, your passions, whatever, whatever extra color you want to add to what I already said would be great.

1:02.0

I appreciate that. I always shy away a little bit from extended introductions. It's like, I don't matter those details about me, but we do live here in Minnesota, although we are in the process of early next year.

1:19.0

I'm going to be moving to Texas and Dallas. And, you know, what am I excited about? Probably the most thing is is my family. I have an amazing life. She's a critical care nurse. And so she's been very busy here the last year and a half with with COVID and working in those situations.

1:39.0

And we have an adult son who's 26 who works here in the Twin Cities and lives here and our youngest son is a freshman in college. He's just started there.

1:50.0

And so he's enjoying that. And we are getting used to having an empty house for the first time in our lives.

1:58.0

So that's a lot of stuff happening. Yeah, man, I can't even imagine being in the nursing and medical field at this time is crazy and then dealing with with your kids growing up and all that stuff. That's a lot of stuff.

2:15.0

A lot of transition. Yeah. Well, maybe you can also say a little bit about how you know Marty and or how you know, Bama or whatever, what what your connection is there and I'm sure Marty will have some words to say about that as well. But tell me what what that connection looks like.

2:33.0

So I think Marty and I have spoken about this before I think we both encountered one another through other people coming up to us after events or whatever and asking us about one another and I'd go teach at workshops or whatever and have people come up to me and be like, do you know Marty Solomon and Bama and I was like, no, I'm sorry.

3:00.0

But you know, you hear it so many times and then you start to go, wow, am I missing something like this must be something important. And so, you know, I heard a few things and I told Marty this I said, you know, I tend to be a bit skeptical.

3:17.0

The first time I heard I looked it up and was like, you know, what's wrong with Bama not doing such as a Google that you know find, you know, what is this and that's just that just tends to be my skeptical personality and.

3:34.0

Then we got connected online and talked back and forth a little bit and I said, hey man, I love to have you on my podcast and use gracious enough to do that. And so then it occurred to me, well if I'm going to have them on the podcast, it would only be polite to actually be familiar with Bama a little bit.

3:55.0

I was actually in sabbatical before we talked on the podcast and so I spent a couple of weeks listening to a couple dozen episodes and.

4:06.0

I enjoyed, you know, what I heard and I was really struck by the humility that both of you have really on the episodes that I listened to and so we we had a really good chat on my podcast and then Marty was kind enough to ask me to come here.

4:28.0

So we've not actually met in the flesh, but you know, discussions on over zoom and email and those sorts of things a number of times.

4:40.0

It's bound to happen eventually.

4:42.0

I was trying to think of my own story and I may have the order of events fuzzy.

4:48.0

I will see about order of events here, but I want to say that somewhere early in my introductory conversations about do you know Michael Burns somebody said to me, you know he's a fan of Sasquatch.
