urging everyone not to let the Expanse become the next cancelled sci-fi classic.

And I'm joined by two guests.

So first up we've got our producer John Joseph Adams.

He's the editor of Late Speed and Nightmare magazines and he also oversees John Joseph

Adams books and imprints of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. He's the series editor He also

he's the series editor of the best American science fiction and fantasy

and he's also edited many other anthologies

including the recent books list upon the world and what the bleep is that. His new

anthology Cosmic Powers will be out in April. So Don welcome back. Good to be

here and glad to hear that we weren't canceled right before we started recording

this. And also joining us today is John J. Joex. He's the

author of the books Why Were They Cancelled, The Play of SciFi TV in the

face of the Unforgiving Nielsen's and Networks, and cancelled SciFi TV 1949 to 2015 the ultimate guide to

cancelled science fiction and fantasy TV shows. He also tracks the ratings of

various shows over at cancelledFi.com and his article the expanse is the great

space epic we asked for but where are the viewers helped inspire this panel so
