This deep dive into Newport, Rhode Island, and the gilded-aged playground known as Bellevue Avenue.

It is the natural habitat of heiresses, this street of legend, Bellevue Avenue, the playground of the wealthy from May to September for many, many decades.

We're starting at the casino.

Remember Gordon Bennett lives at the very tippy, tippy top of Bellevue Avenue.

We're going to be walking down Bellevue Avenue with so many homes and so many heiresses.

We're going to journey through time a little bit, simply rolling down the street.

Not all of these grand summer cottages read ostentatious mansions were built at the same time.

So we're kind of meshing everything together to tour these seaside summer cottages.
