Summary
#247 - The Dormers Wells Massacre.
On the evening of Wednesday 11th November 1987, two orthodox Sikhs (Rajinder Singh Batth and Mangit Singh Sunder) sat in the sports hall of Dormers Wells High School in Southall, listening to the sermons of (some say) ‘self-proclaimed’ Guru Darshan Das. It would become one of Britain rare school shootings, and yet, unlike Dunblane, it has almost been forgotten.
- Date: Wednesday 11th November 1987 at roughly 9:30pm
- Location: Dormers Wells High School, Allenby Road, Southall, London, England, UB1
- Victim: 4 (Mahraz Darshan Das Ji, Joga Singh and Satwant Singh Panesar all died of their injuries, Dharan Singh Bimbrah survived having been released from hospital)
- Culprit: 2 (Rajinder Singh Batth and Mangit Singh Sunder)
- Method: assassination, shooting at faith meeting
