host this week. I'm Jim Root. I'm joined through the magic of frustrating Zoom by Kai McEwen and Matthew Cox.

I'm afraid that Kai is going to reach through the machine and choke me for even making

that joke because Zoom has been dealing us a difficult hand over the past 15 to 20 minutes,

but we're here.

We're ready to record.

Kai, you're going to tough it out for the people?

I'm going to tough it out, man.

But holy shit, technology not working is my number one pet peeve. It should work, Matt. It should work every single time we do something. And the fact that I just used Zoom not an hour ago to do another show, it bothers me, Matthew. It bothers me. It gets to me. Yeah, the robots, man. It's almost like Zoom's over the pandemic. Zoom's over COVID. That's it. That's it. That's her. That's all that's all you got. You're going to like an explanation. No, Jim, I'm not. I'll just launch you in my life right now. I'm great, man. Uh, you know, just you're right. I think the ground hog, the groundhog's day effect is infallusing right now, where you're in the heart of the season and every day just feels like the same, but that's okay. It's a good thing. That is that something we can look at in the sport that maybe the players are going through the same experience of man, the doldrums of the schedule? No, Jim, they play college basketball. It's like a dream come true for 90% of us. So my sympathy for college athletes, while I get this take is short-sighted and very much biased and in no way has context for what that's actually like, I would have been a college athlete so quickly. I'm not asking you, I'm not asking you whether you would. I'm asking whether it affects them. Uh, I don't know. Do we think it does? It shouldn't. Their young spry, 18 to 23, their whole life ahead of me and Kai just debuted our new rec basketball league on Monday. And it was a unmitigated disaster gem. Like joints and muscles just completely falling off so yeah yeah my

my sympathy is dwindling but yeah part of it maybe too that this season is two weeks longer than

last year because of the late covid start last year was actually a shortened season's good point this one is

starting to start to the like I said, the doldrums.

But that's okay.

We've got our extended three men thoughts. And we're taking a little different angle on game previews. We're not going to go top four or five games. We're going to talk the weekend storyline. some of the biggest games, things to look out for.

I'm going to try a little different angle on that and see if the people like it.

See if we like it, to be quite honest, because we're selfish. And we want to make sure we enjoy our own podcast. Like just just come after us on one of the games. We're wrong on. There's a lot of them. It's not been hard to troll us. At least you have a litany of games where you've screwed up the last three weeks. At least pick one that we lost. Guy, come on. Be a better troll. Let's be better. Yep.
