I want to talk to Dave today to bring you guys some value on military veteran entrepreneurship,

because veteran advocacy is important an element for us.

But I also want to teach you guys some hard lessons learned over the last few years.

I've been talking to Dave through COVID and everything else about his

business, some challenges that he's faced, and obviously bringing you the value of those lessons

learned. So you don't have to make those same mistakes if this is your wheelhouse. Dave, first of all,

thank you for making the trip out here. I know it was paining the ass to get out here.

I'm stateside now, so it's easy. Yeah, you used to be, you used to live in, you lived in China. Yeah, Hong Kong, 12 years in Vietnam and then Spain for the past two years. Crazy, man. Let's, let's do this first. Let's give everybody kind of your background, who you are, what you own, and then we'll kick it off from there.

My name is David Wood.

I was in the Marines, 99 to 2005, went to University of Tennessee and moved over to Asia

in 2008.

Over to Hong Kong, based in Hong Kong, was asked to be a liaison, building underground

house churches, seminaries in China, and then basing in Hong Kong because it was a free, was, prior 2019, was a free city.

Started several businesses when I was out there, sourcing commodities, infrastructure materials, fabrics, tech stuff, and started Veritas in 2015.

Yeah, Verdez Outdoors has been, Dave supported me when I had like two employees.
