Summary

This week I am joined by my good friend and Pennsylvania deer hunter John Stewart.

We are breaking down how big deer work around hunting pressure and make it to that older age class. Wether its public or private land all deer have to work around a level of pressure and John and I agree its their highest priority.

Thanks for listening!

All right, here we go.

1:00.9

Welcome in, everyone, to this week's edition of the Deer Hunter podcast. It will be Friday, the 27th of May, when this episode releases.

1:09.4

I hope you're having the opportunity to listen to the day

1:12.1

that it comes out. What do we got here this week? We got a couple things to handle. So my

1:20.4

guest this week is my good friend John Stewart. John is a Pennsylvania deer hunter, a wealth of knowledge, a very informative guy who has

1:34.2

time and time again been able to get on older age class deer and get them killed. And not only him,

1:40.8

but he's a very generous guy to have in camp because he helps, he seems

1:47.0

to lift everybody up around him a little bit, put some guys on some bigger deer, and just

1:54.7

a great guy to have a conversation with really wealth and knowledge. And the conversation

1:59.6

revolves around today is working around

2:03.8

pressure that we didn't plan that it just kept circling back to that because it's probably the

2:11.6

number one most important thing to understand if you're going to be hunting any piece of timber where you are potentially

2:19.4

going to be competing with other hunters unless you have complete control over who's coming and

2:28.4

who's going on a managed piece of property you're going to be dealing with pressure.

2:37.5

And that is the number one thing that deer have to deal with is working around hunting pressure.

2:46.2

So that's a lot of what, you know, like the primary primary conversation topic and then we go down quite a few

2:54.6

rabbit holes and like I said John's just a wealth of knowledge absolutely great guest we've been

3:02.0

trying to connect here for a while and I'm sure in the future we'll do this a little more frequently

3:07.3

but the stars aligned

3:09.2

and we were able to sit down here a few nights ago and have a outstanding conversation so
