Summer is here and it's a time that many people relish.

They enjoy the warm weather, spending time on the beach, and personally? I enjoy the

seasonal excuse to eat fried clams. For many, summer is also a time to slow down and enjoy a vacation,

possibly even a good long road trip.

You know, speaking of road trips, my parents took my brother and I on lots of road trips when we were kids.

Sometimes we'd sit out in our car from New Hampshire and drive southwest and north.

Other times we'd fly into a distan area of the United States

and then drive around for a week or so we could see new things.

And in grad school, I even had the opportunity to drive entirely across the country, from

New Hampshire to California.

And that was a fun trip.

Tim and I took a month to do it, and we saw so many sites along the way. So I speak from experience when I say that road trips can be a lot of fun.
