The leap from high school to college can be tough.

It's simply following, know the guidance counselors career

suggestions or taking the college path because it's what's always done is just

rarely leads to success. So Rick Firery will talk about why college is not the only option after high school and why

career success may well follow a different path.

He'll talk about how to help your student find their passion, a foundation for any successful career, as well as a variety of other

options available after high school gap year career training, entrepreneurship and other options.

Prior to Inventive Labs, Rick was a CEO of a number of startup companies that he created a group of

selling them to strategic buyers.

He has a bachelor's and a master's in civil engineering from the University of Virginia as well as
