I am recording this intro in an echoey and old room on beautiful and cold Nantucket Island,

a really surreal place.

I'm in the Northeast to visit friends and board builders whom I've met through this podcast.

Slurpy wave photographer Jonathan Nimmerfro lives on Nantucket and we connected a couple years back.

Right when his images of those slurpy waves went viral, he went from modest Nantucket

surf photographer to Good Morning America, and now he sells his works through galleries.

Anyway, he's been giving me an incredible tour of Nantucket, and I'll definitely be back here

when there are waves and when the ocean is warmer than 45 degrees.

Incredible little island and surf culture here in the Northeast.
