It appears the House, finally, over the objections of the Republicans pro- Putin contingent is going to vote, it seems, on the

outnumbered Ukrainian and assistance for them as its struggles against the Russian invasion.

It's gone badly. The assistance which by the way

involves a big chunk of money for domestic defense production should have been

sent months ago. It should pass if they bring it to a vote with almost all Democratic votes.

The temptation in Washington circles is to say, hey, three cheers for House Speaker Mike Johnson

for bringing this to the floor at the risk of the crazy he's moving to unseating.

Well I'll say one cheer.
