I want to tell a quick story about this Saga. I got an email from someone who subscribed

after our last discussion episode and they said, hey, you know, I just signed up. It took a while

and it's kind of clunky and awkward, but I finally have it. And here's the invoice for the

subscription. It turned out this person had signed up for simplecast, which is our podcast.

It's a bad thought. Service provider. So please people, don't this is on me. I will be reaching out

to this person to Venmo them a refund because I was not clear enough in my diction.

You someone probably had to go through a bunch of things for businesses. So that's that. So sorry

a story that came totally out of nowhere, but it's a part of a broader theme. Supply crunches.

I was not really having access to things and it's this baby formula story. So I could you want to

just quickly introduce like what is happening here and then I'll get into a really good right

up on the topic that Derek Thompson, friend of the show from the Atlantic wrote up. Yeah, I mean,

this has been on my radar for a little while. I've been vaguely aware of it for a past couple of

weeks, but really bubbled the surface, I would say in the last couple days. So there is a massive

baby formula shortage in America. I think about 50% of the normal stock is out and retailers are

actually rationing baby formula at major change Walgreens, Target, Costco, Amazon has almost a two
