On this episode of the Swallier Pride Podcast, we have Carol Larson.

She is the director of the Feeding and Swallowing Program at Boston Children's Hospital.

She has worked at Boston Children's Hospital for 24 years.

She went to Syracuse University for her

undergraduate degree and attended Teachers College Columbia University for

her masters. She completed her clinical fellowship at a hospital in the Bronx New

York where she worked with patients or where she Clinical Fellowship at a hospital in the Bronx, New York,

where she worked with patients,

where she worked with adults and pediatrics,

and it was there in 1995.

She first learned that speech language pathologists

were starting to work in the NICU.

She later returned to Boston to take a job at Boston Children's Hospital.

She spent her early years at Children's Hospital in feeding and swallowing and also in the

Cleft Pallet Craniofacial clinic.

Her second passion after pediatric dysphagia is cleft palate and craniofacial disorders.

Working with infants with craniofacial conditions with underlying feeding and swallowing deficits are among her favorite types of patients to work with.

She also teaches the cleft palate and craniofacial disorders course at the graduate level at

Boston University and Emerson College in Boston.
