Speaking basketball podcast, my name is Ben. Welcome back and today's show feels like deja vu to me, because I think we've done this topic in 2023. I think we did this topic in 2022. It is becoming an annual tradition, but we have to talk about the offensive

rating explosion. Offences in the NBA are on fire they're on another level

we're setting records left and right we'll talk about a few today I just Cody this is the most efficient month in NBA history. And I've said that before.

I've said that before. Usually you say it at the end of the season, which is what's so alarming right now.

We actually had this earlier in the year in the Pacers video, the Pacers Hawks game that was

like 176 to 175, whatever heck the final score of that game was they

scored 300 they scored 309 points so it wasn't 176 175 but it was a lot of

points and I talked about at the beginning of each season a

trend where the November offensive rating is getting higher and higher and higher

that's a big deal because offenses take some time to catch up to defenses every season and now we're in December and we've already set the record for the most efficient month.

We are on pace for the most efficient month in the history of the entire league,

probably the history of the entire sport, because it's ridiculous.

And I think we have to talk about it.

What is the current record for the highest offensive rating

in a single month?

Do you have that on hand?

Because I know we mentioned this a lot.

Like I think last season season like pretty much every

podcast episode at some point we were like oh up and the offensive rating for this

month is now at blah blah blah it's at this so like you know I apologize if you've

heard the story before but everyone the story is continuing, right?
