About 200 episodes ago, Sam Fold came on the program for the first time. He and I had a conversation that I quite enjoyed,

and we kept in touch a little bit afterwards.

I've been saying to Sam for like a year I want to have you back on the show and I'm looking

for the exact right situation to have you back and then things sort of fell into place. So I hear a lot from

women who wish their husbands would listen to the podcast, but they find it hard to

talk them into listening to a type 1 diabetes podcast. Then one day just

recently I was thinking about something for my son in baseball and as we were kind

of thinking it through I saw the parallels between the baseball thought and the way we managed type 1 diabetes.

And then I started looking at a lot of the things that I say on this podcast and started seeing a lot of connections between baseball and this.

And I thought maybe this is how guys might be

introduced to the idea of you know bumping and nudging and being bold and that sort of stuff.

So this one is going to be great for everybody.

Don't get me wrong.

It's not so baseball heavy that you'll be like,

oh, I don't like baseball.

But if you've got a husband or a boyfriend

or something like that who likes the baseball, I think I figured

out how to get them to listen.
