I hope you were having the loveliest summer. And I thought that we would kick it off this fall

or after my summer break, which is talking about my favorite books that I have read so far

in 2024.

Well, I hope you've had a lovely summer. I have. I have had so much fun with the kids and my

husband and we've just really, I've just kind of unintentionally just taken off Instagram and work

and everything and have enjoyed it so much. But I am back and I am excited to just go through a list of books that I've

really enjoyed this year. Now, in the beginning of the year, I set out with a list of books that I

want to read and I make a list of them. You can always read that over at nancyray.com slash

book club. And I love to share them with you there because if you ever

want to read along with me, I think it's so fun because I usually talk about them on the podcast

and do a quick recap and three takeaways. But this year and honestly last year too, I don't

know if it's just my age, I'm getting older, or if I just value the recommendation of a friend so

much, so much more now than I ever have. But I've pivoted a little bit from my original list

of books that I want to read for the year. And I will take a recommendation and just grab that

book and start reading it. And I'll take another recommendation and be like, oh, I want to, or I hear about a book and a podcast. I'll start reading that.

And it's really fun. It feels a little bit more freeing. So I'm a little behind on my book club

readings, but man, I've got some good new books for you today that I have been really
