May I tell you something very quickly about someone I interviewed was talking about codependency?

Mm-hmm.

And specifically with if you have a child or a loved one who is in addiction, just that process.

And I was talking, was asking them about that.

And he said something that is adjacent to things that you have said about Jesus and people who are desperate.

But the way he put it, because I was like, well, what do you say to a parent if you, you know, you don't want to see your kid out on the street. You don't want to

see. And he said, what I would say is desperation, the point of desperation is where miracles can

happen. And in the Bible miracles, that's where miracles happened at the point of desperation.

And if you keep rescuing them and stop the point of desperation from happening, you are in fact stopping the miracle from happening.

And that was, oh my goodness, that just blew my mind.

And not just for like addiction.

This is for, you know, our codependency.

It's, you know, as, or co-dependency. It's, it's, you know, as, as we continue

to talk about it, my own, for me, my own desire, just for control, right? Like, I'm going to fix it.

I'm going to make it okay. I'm going to pull it all together. And the, the, the, just the viewpoint of someone saying, no, actually what you're doing is you're intervening

when people are trying or can get to God.

You've inserted yourself.

So that's tough.

That's good.

Everything Jesus told us is for our own good. He taught us how to live and wants us to teach other people. Like to make apprentices, make disciples of other people. It's such a good thing. And we can do that. But it's not just telling people, hey, you need to obey Jesus. It's showing them how to do it. Yeah. I had a friend show me how to throw a curveball. I remember back in high school. And I didn't know how to do it, but he actually showed me how to move my arm. And like I was trying my wrist too fast and stuff. And then it worked. But he had to show me how to do it. It wasn't just, you need to throw a curb ball. Well, I know. But I can't. I can't. Show me how to do it. It wasn't just, you need to throw a curb ball. I know.

But I can't. I can't. Show me how to do it. And you can actually do this. You can actually show people this is how you learn to love your enemies. This is how you learn to turn the other cheek.
