Greetings and salutations. Welcome back to Sacred Symbols, a PlayStation podcast. This is episode number 241.

My name is Karl Moriardy. Today I'm joined only by my second son, my youngest son, younger son, Dustin Furman, executive producer of last name media, Chris is out on assignment. That's not true at all. Actually, he has an obligation right now when we're recording for his creator clash fight, which is coming up in May or April, something like that. And so it's just Dustin and I today Dustin. How are you my friend? I'm doing fantastic. We are getting close.

To our live event and I was thinking so I feel like we're probably similar in this way and that there's some things that I'm like, oh, this is stressing me out. I'm thinking about the presentation right now.

In particular, and I have a thing that I know that this seems to be maybe this is the procrastinator's way, but I feel like I've been slowly building it in my mind.

And then there's like, you just got to start you got to start putting it down, you got to start figuring out what that exactly is, get all those loose ideas.

But just jumping in initially, I always hate that. I hate that part, but I have started. And I'm already like, I made like, I did like, I don't know about most of it, but a significant amount in a very short amount of time.

And I'm like, man, why did I stress out about this for so long? Because this is this is not going to be that hard. This is just how I operate though, often.

Yes. So you're referring to our live show in Texas February 24th coming right up. Yeah, I'm excited about it as well. I'm a similar. I have a similar thing where travel just ruins my life for a little while.

The event itself, I really authentically have no concerns about. I don't I'm not worried about it. I think it's going to go just great. The audience is great. The content is easy to do.

So like the execution of it is not a problem for me. And even the presentation, which I still have to do mine as well, we're doing the most overrated games of all time.

And I have to do mine as well. I've selected my game, but I have to do my presentation. But I don't think yeah, I'm not too worried about it either. The bigger worry for me is just traveling because I just I hate traveling.

And it's not anything that's really a big deal. I used to travel constantly when I was in media. That's kind of a reflection of that. I also just constantly travel when I was a kid.

I think as I've said before, it's kind of a reflection of my childhood and my my experience, my nurturing or lack there of experience and just being pulled over the place all the time. So I'm just on the move.

And what's funny is that I haven't been on a plane somehow since 2019, which is stunning because I would be on a plane no fewer than 20 times a year probably for most of my adult life up to that point.

So, yeah, I don't think I've been on a plane either actually since no, I was on a plane in 2020 when I went to I think packs east.

And was ironic because it was in March of 2020.

Oh, yeah, that was when I was all going off right before I remember we were there. We were in our air being being where like, oh, they just canceled GDC.

Cool. Let's go to this giant event with thousands of people. We were fine.

Yeah, everything was fine. Don't worry about it. Nothing happened.
