is a writer, comedian, and five-time Emmy Award winner.

He's also won two Peabody Awards, five Rider Guilds Awards,

and four Television Critics Association Awards.

He was one of the original writers of

last week tonight with John Oliver, where he was promoted to senior writer. He left

the show to write a political comedy, Substat called I Might Be Wrong,

which is the title of his podcast

and his regular Substat column.

So in the show notes, you can just click on those links to those directly in which he

covers politics and economics and culture and society with a comedic voice.

He's a funny guy. Instead of trying to interpret the world from a single viewpoint, Jeff picks apart

the thinking behind the viewpoints and digs deep into policy. So we will provide the rest of his

bio below. I just want to just make a comment that in 2022 and going forward I

want to branch out for the podcast and talk to, let's just say, regular people, real people.

I'm mostly talking to academic scientists and historians, philosophers,

economists, political scientists, and so on,

authors of new books. I'd like to talk to people that are outside of

that realm just to get a contact with the real world let's say and Jeff is

certainly one of those he is a professional comedian and he did write as you know the lead

writer for John Oliver show and so we get into talking about that how best to

communicate not just he worked for the EPA for eight years, writing speeches and writing, you know, white papers
