Hello. Put on so many times at this point you might as

well be the host just about but we're talking about a very cool topic today we're

talking about the late Mark Grumwald who are doing a whole week of coverage devoted to over on marble.com.

We've got various articles and podcasts and other things going on.

And Tom, as the keeper of Marge and someone who actually got to know Mark I wanted to have you in here and you know kind of talk about his life and his career a little bit.

Sure, sure. So I guess to start with what was your relationship like with Mark I know you guys didn't overlap for

too too long but you weren't here at the same time.

Well it was it was about seven years total so it's it wasn't like a

it wasn't a small amount of time and I don't know that I would say that I was like one of Mark Roonwald's closest friends or even closest

closest you know editorial people.

There were plenty of other people that he was tighter with than with me.

Excuse me.

I have to edit my coughing. You know, I work with Mark on a bunch of things over

the years, the Marvel Universe Handbook amalgam, D.C. Marvel crossover and so forth.

And Mark was, you know, was always around.

He had the assistant editor classes of that era and was sort of the

self-proclaimed morale officer of Marvel in those days. So he was always, he was always a presence and was always a, you know, like a figure. But, you know, I can't all say that I was especially tight with him.
