The fundamental question that these parables ask is this,

is it possible for someone who has fallen away from the fate of baptized child

to be brought to repentance? And the answer is yes, a thousand times yes, it has to be yes.

and maybe wander from home, how much more does the Father's love for us in Christ Jesus never

The hymn hailed the once rejected Jesus. This hymn talks about

how Christ, well for Jesus, there is no honeymoon. He comes and as soon as he is publicly announced

to be the Christ in his baptism, he is opposed not only by the devil but also by the people he came

to save and he promises his disciples that they will also be opposed. But that promise comes with
