Summary

In the 1970s, Roch Theriault convinced a small group of people to abandon their lives and possessions and go with him to an isolated community in rural Quebec. After attaining absolute control over his followers, Theriault dictated every part of the Ant Hill Kids' existence, including their clothing, diet, thoughts, communication… and probably most disturbingly, their medical treatments... Which were administered by Teareo himself… The cruelness of Roch’s teachings extended even to the children of the cult. They suffered beatings, starvation, and relentless labor, while adults took the brunt of - but not ALL of - his sexual abuses.
