This episode is going to be a little different friends.

This will be a riff episode where I do have a few topics prepared, but because I am on a very tight time crunch, I will be just riffing on these topics until we run out of time.

Why am I on a time crunch?

See, friends, that goes in to the theme that we are always bringing up of this fine podcast of Village and how life just looks different when you actually

have a social system that includes women and openness to life. I was just thinking about this

the other day when I was listening to some motivational podcast that was talking about

like hitting your deadlines and your commitments and all that stuff. And once again, it was like,

yes, if you are a single person, especially a, you know, a single guy, this all works for you.

But there's really almost this alternative universe that you live in

when you live in a culture of life. And I specifically say when you live in a culture of life

as opposed to when you're a mom, because I know many of my listeners are very much part of village life, part of the

culture of life in the sense that I talk to a gal. She is 19. She's a listener of this podcast

and she has quite a few siblings. And she's made some great life decisions to get a job and

set things up where she is pretty close to home. And so her mom knows that she can

call her if she needs some last minute help, like her mom had to go to the ER the other day. And she was

fine, but it was, you know, kind of a dicey situation. The mom was able to call this older daughter.

The daughter ran over and helped the family and it was no problem. So again,

she's not a mom. She doesn't have her own family, but she's part of a village. And in that case,

you know what? She didn't do her atomic habits that day. I bet she missed her ice bath.

I bet she missed her ice bath. I bet she missed her ice bath because she is close to people in ways that are messy.

And that is the salient thing about village life.

And that is what you see in in old school cultures that value family.
