Hey everyone and welcome back to Big Mad True Crime where we get Big Mad over True Crime.

I'm your host Heather Ashley and today you'll be hearing part two of the Justin Burke case.

We're going to start right where we left off last week, so with all of that being happening, the media wasn't talking about Justin's

disappearance at all. The community knew about it because you guys had gone on

this full-fledged mission to make sure that everyone knew

to be on the lookout for him what he looked like, who he was. So tell everyone a

little bit about everything that you did to spread the awareness about his disappearance.

So firstly, I know we went to all of our personal Facebook accounts.

We made the Bring Dust and Home Page. We made the Bring Justin home page. We made paper flyers. We went door to door. We made, I think we spent a little under a thousand dollars on like a yard signs and highway banners that we put up everywhere.

And they were big signs. So we had about three of the big ones and we put those out by the interstates and then the rest of them

were the smaller yard signs like similar to the election signs and my mom actually

still has hers up in her yard to this day.

Now Justin was last seen in the early morning hours of September 4th,

but it wasn't until October 6th

that the media finally started writing about him and what they did share was pretty vague

just that he had disappeared more than a month ago walking along Angelina Road

which is debatable but they did manage to include the fact that he had been

diagnosed with bipolar disorder. We've talked about this in cases before, where it

does kind of pigeonhole a victim, especially to the public, when that is the one detail that you do report on.

So our initial reaction, we were really mad because the way that it read it made it seem like you were more

endangered than he was like it almost you know made him look like he was the problem.

Be out on the lookout for him, he is bipolar.
