Hello and welcome to episode 240 of Geek's Guide to the Galaxy. Our guest today is Noreen Shankar.

He's a showrunner on the SciFi Channel show The Expants, and he's also been a writer

or producer for many other shows, including CSI, Farscape, and the Outer Limits,

as well as Star Trek The Next Generation, Star Trek Voyager, and Star Trek

Deep Space Nine.

The expanse is based on a series of novels by James Essay Corey, which is the pen name

of authors Daniel Abraham and Ty Frank. We previously interviewed Daniel

back in episode 35 and Tyb back in episode 113 and we also reviewed the first

four episodes of the Expanse back in episode 180 so definitely check those out if you miss them.

I also just want to add a special plea here for people to check out the Expanse, which, as you'll

hear in this interview, is currently my favorite show on TV. Episode 4, which is called CQB,

is one of my favorite TV episodes of all time,

and I would strongly encourage everyone to watch at least the first

four episodes of the show before making up your mind about it. And if you like
