Deputy Alex Collins talks about how he found out that Christopher Dorner was in San Bernardino County.

This is getting closer to the point right when you get involved because at some point they find his truck on fire in your County.

Yeah, so he you shot officer crane killing officer crane who left behind a, you know, wife and two children and then severely wounded tackiest and that was in the early more hours of February 7th.

So I remember I was watching the news and I see, you know, this is all over the news or recite officers and then some of the guys I knew from my department were out there helping out at the scene.

My brother Ryan had just recently got promoted from our, our SVD team to sergeant and he actually was stationed in big bears of patrol watch commander.

So I called him just to see what was going on. We talked to each other almost every day.

So I called him and he's kind of whispering on the phone and he goes, Hey, I think we found Dorner's truck up here in big bear.
