Summary

Every choice a person makes either stirs hell up or brings heaven down. There are people who are burden-lifters and people who are burden-givers. Sometimes, a disagreement may not be over a positive versus negative viewpoint, rather, it might be over hard-headedness or hard-heartedness.

When handling disagreements and conflict, look toward Jesus and follow the example of His life. Don’t fight fire with fire. You should put on the full armor of God and you should fervently seek His wisdom. Allow God to refine you through conflict and to teach you healthier and holier ways of dealing with it. Do your best to handle disagreements like Christ. Your only responsibility is to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.

Hey everyone, welcome to another episode of Monday Meditations. Honestly, I still can't believe that we're

0:05.9

already in April. I know that you guys, your schedules are probably crazy, whether that's with family,

0:11.4

work, friends, but let's just take a minute, just a few minutes today to start the week off right,

0:17.4

and let's meditate on the word disagreement. Disagreement can take shape in our lives

0:22.9

in many different forms. We may not agree with others over lifestyle decisions, political views,

0:28.2

especially, spiritual beliefs, or what action to take in a given situation. Sometimes disagreement

0:34.1

can even be over attitude and overall approach to life and the circumstances that arise day to day.

0:40.3

Every choice a person makes either stirs hell up or brings heaven down.

0:45.3

Two options there. There are people who are burden lifters in your life and there are people who are burden givers.

0:51.3

There are people in your orbit who are life-giving and there's others who are life-draining.

0:57.0

A friend of mine used to call these people energy vampires because they literally suck the life out of you

1:01.4

and drain the whole atmosphere when you're around them. It won't matter where you are or what you say

1:06.6

to lift their spirit. Nothing will change their demeanor. I don't know about you, but I am so sensitive to the attitudes of the people around me.

1:15.1

I really have to be careful and mindful to guard my heart and not be a product of my environment,

1:20.4

especially if I'm around these life-draining people.

1:23.6

I can walk into a meeting or a social gathering with so much joy in the midst of a great day.

1:28.9

And then all of a sudden I'm sitting across from Eeyore with a black cloud over their head.

1:33.8

And no matter how hard I try to blow away that cloud, the person is clutching onto it.

1:39.3

For me, this kind of situation can burn me out for the rest of the day if I'm not careful.

1:43.6

But when we face

1:44.5

these people in our lives, they leave us emotionally, relationally, and even spiritually depleted.

1:51.5

Sometimes a disagreement might not be over a positive versus a negative viewpoint. Rather, it might be
