I'm a little under the weather actually, which is why we are remote today. And you know, I got some tea here, which is I don't know why I grabbed tea. My voice is fine, but I think it just makes me feel

better, but we're good. We're going to grind it out too much to talk about from last week to take another day off. So I'm ready to go. I want to give a couple of quick shout outs. Number one, those saying hello at Bulls Memphis yesterday. C. H. G. O. Bears. Here's truly thank you. Same thing with over at Riggly over the weekend. And when I was looking at our stream about 20 minutes ago, I saw 72 people waiting in 1140. If you're one of those 72, we all love you. That is that's that's some big time.

Appreciation from all of us. So big day today. I know Jalen Carter in town. Hogue back. Nick is, you know, that his video with the Paul is sweeping the nation. And I know you had a very important conversation is all that we got to get to. So I'm excited as per usual for the show. Yes, and happy home opener. It's all the white socks fans out there. I'm trying to represent today. Would love to be out there, but that not going to happen today. Cram makes my days worth living to. I agree.

Logan, let's go me and you. I don't know what our hangouts going to be beers lunch ball game. I'm in. Let's go. All right. Well, there is a lot to get to. We're also going to Adam John's join the show as the athletic. I got to tell their version of the big bears panthers trade. And I know that they're working hard on that last week. So John's he's going to join us in about 15 minutes to come on. And there's a few new nuggets in there that I think are worth.

But first and foremost, guys, you know, just being back. I want to jump in here and kind of share some of the stuff that maybe we didn't get to last week. Overall, takeaways from what came out of the NFL owners meetings last week. And got a couple clips to share with you. Starting with Kevin Warren, because this just kind of did stand out to me. And I think it's worth discussing with just the idea of. I think it goes.

Really goes to the heart of the trust the fans actually seem to have right now in the organization and how much that is flipped in the last, you know, calendar year or so. But for a team that only one three games and ended up with the first overall pick. It doesn't seem to be a whole lot of drama or anxiousness about anything. And that is something that Kevin Warren addressed last week when we had a chance to talk to him. So here's what Kevin Warren had to say about that.

It's interesting how even coming here for the meetings. It's something special with the Chicago Bears. I mean, this is not a normal environment of a team that won three football games last year.

I mean, I think it's been a year that you would think most of the times that happens during turmoil. But George is calm. Ryan is calm. Coach Iber Fluss is calm. I'm calm. We're all connected and working together. And I think there's a sense around the NFL community that we have the right people at the right time and the right situation.

Lucas on the right issues and none of us have eagles and that we're doing the right thing. So I am, I really love the energy that we have developed and building. And I'm confident that we're going to do well together.

Now a word of caution because I do want to say the vibe at these owners meetings every year is overwhelmingly positive. And if you just think about how the NFL calendar works.

These teams are calm. You look disgusted right now, by the way. So we'll get here. We'll get to your thoughts in a second. But I just, but the reality is that like this is the calmest time of year.

Any team that was bad last year, they either made changes that are, you know, reinvigorating the franchise or they're far enough removed from, you know, the drama, the season.

They're always in a nice warm place at these meetings. Most of them have their families with them. It's actually very relaxing sort of setting.

So, but I also want to say like there does seem to be some truth to what Kevin Warren is saying as he enters this job. And at this point, all he really knows is his overall context of the bears from being a Chicago in the last few years, being in the NFL before that.

And, you know, since kind of joining the franchise in January officially starts two weeks from today.

You know, I do think there's some truth to what he's saying. Go ahead, Carm.

Well, look, I don't, I think I'm going to go down the, the car reads too much into statements, little snippets. I can already feel the check coming back at me on this. But first of all, don't be so calm.

Y'all three and 14. It's, it's like I'm, and you're not actually that calm. Ryan polls, we're going to talk with John's about, you know, the whole process. He wasn't calm in trading the number one pick. He was frantic about it. He was, so it's not exactly accurate.

And the other thing, the thing that actually made my me spin around was that we have no egos.

Um, you don't get to those positions in life with no egos. You're that, that's the head coach of the Chicago Bears. That's the general manager of the Chicago Bears. That's the president, CEO of the Bears. You have to have an ego.

So it's, I mean, we're a little bit in semantics, but like, let's not just, you know, this is not cool by ya. This is professional football.
