0:24.0	In modern TV and entertainment, witches are portrayed as funny, whimsical, powerful, and mysterious.

0:47.5	20th time and it is hands down one of my favorites. It's crazy to think, though, that years and years ago, you and I
0:56.2	could be imprisoned for even talking about witchcraft in this way. And that's where today's story
1:02.5	begins. We are talking about the Salem Witch Trials. While you're watching some of your favorite
1:08.6	witchy programs, you may notice that some of the names and historical references that they use sound kind of familiar.
1:16.4	Almost always, they will tie back to Salem, Massachusetts, and what happened there so many years ago.
1:22.1	I have been excited for this episode for months.

1:28.8	about one of the most shocking chapters in American history, where hundreds were accused of
1:34.7	practicing witchcraft, the devil's magic, they called it. And according to the Boston Globe,
