Before we start in on this incredibly difficult to wrangle Gorilla Man, a true crime tale from the early

part of the 20th century that I must admit up front was impossible to get straight.

It happened so long ago that sources can't be 100%

relied upon. I did my best with what I had and the result could be that the timeline of events

is not completely accurate. The events themselves, though, unfortunately, are all

too real. Did I get off track immediately into this podcast? Let's try that again.

definitely do better. I kid I kid I've been using my awkward charm to get in with him and I think it's working

check Bome Party out and don't let his friendly tone lull you into a deep sense of comfort.

His work is thorough, compelling, and slippery.

I often, while listening, feel as though he's led me into the twilight zone.

One of his eyeballs may be doing a loop around its socket as he paints

a place, time, and out of the ordinary incident from my mind's eye to clearly see.

It's a great thrill for me to be able to spread the word about nighttime in this way.
