Hello and welcome to the Retro Hour podcast episode number 239, your weekly dose of retro

gaming and technology news with me Dan Wood, me Ravi Abb And me, Joe Fox. And a very warm welcome to this week's show. I can't believe it's actually our final show of August already. And the last band holiday weekend of the year here in the UK, I was in my local supermarket last night that already put in the Halloween stuff out on the shelves. That's actually just blown my mind that it's like, it's the end of summer.

Like, not only is like, kind of like, where's summer gone? Where's this year gone? And that's also terrifying me because that means I've got a week until I go back to work after my paternity leave. Well, you know, we'll be coming next Christmas. We won't be far away now. I'll tell you one thing that I'm looking forward to more than Christmas,

and I'm being completely honest about this.

And that is getting my hands on my Spectrum Next. Now, I was talking about this last week on the show, the incredible performance of the Spectrum Next second Kickstarter, that I think when we were recording last week's show, it had just gone over a million. Now it's well on the way to 2 million. It's doing really well. And there's still like a week left on it too. And the last time we did a full episode about the

Spectrum Next, I think was about two years ago now. And that was with Jim Bagley. We'll set the

Oliver Twins on there as well. Mike Daly, formerly of Cynosis, who are all Ex-Spectrum developers

who are now doing incredible things on this new platform.

And I thought it was about time that we did an update on the Spectrum Next.

And today we're going to be joined by one of the main guys behind it, Henrique Olifias.

Because I mean, I couldn't think of another project, especially here in the UK,

that's getting the amount of buzz that the Spectrum Next is getting at the moment thanks to this second Kickstarter.
