Today is show 239, which we're talking about the rise of zero DTE options. And answering the question, is this a game

changer for traders? Now, the funny thing is I actually, I don't think I've ever talked about

zero DTE options on the podcast. I've maybe mentioned them here and there, but since the podcast

before this had a long hiatus where I wasn't doing the

podcast, it's been a long time since I've actually talked about this. So what I wanted to do today

is kind of give you an introduction to what zero DTE options are or zero day's expiration

options if you're brand new to this, kind of what the defining characteristics are, how the popularity has been gaining

over the years. We're going to go through some myths and misconceptions, some benefits, some

risks, kind of talk about how I trade them and what I do with my zero DTE portion of my portfolio.

So we're going to do a lot of that, pros and cons, everything that you're going to need kind of

There's a lot of stuff that you can go down if you want to go down this rabbit hole. But first, what I want to do is I want to kind of tease the big question, which I labeled this podcast or titled this podcast, which is this idea that is zero DTE options a game changer for traders. I think, because I think the reality is if you would have asked me this question, truth is, if you would have asked me this question,

truthfully, if you would have asked me this question two years ago, I would have said,

I don't know, honestly. That probably would have been my responses. I don't know if it's a game

changer for traders. It's cool. It's, you know, definitely unique. I mean, in 2020, I guess you could say

four or five years ago now, I would have said, like, I think it's kind of, you know, faddy a little bit. Like there's a little bit of a fat, you know, like a fad to it. It would have been similar to, I think, at that time, the minis that kind of came and went. You know, there were these many options, but they still had the same regular big commission. So there were these many options,

a couple of years ago, I would have said, I don't know. But truthfully, I think that right now it is

absolutely a game changer for option traders because I'm using it more and more. And there's a lot of

reasons why I truly love trading

zero DT options. So I'll go through this as we keep going. But if you are not already trading

zero DT options, if you have not traded them yet, it is the next thing that has not only just
