So it's the way I heard it episode number 239 and this one is called the best business card in history

And I'll stand by that it's still seared in my retina chuck the day this was presented to me the finest business card I've ever seen

Now was it presented to you or did you observe it?

But why don't you just recount this story for people because I know we mentioned it in the podcast if you haven't heard the story

So our guest today is Clint Hill. Clint Hill is if you're on my Facebook page you've certainly seen me write about him

He is a secret service agent. He's 90 years old. He guarded Eisenhower and Kennedy and he guarded Nixon and he guarded Johnson and he guarded Carter

He got the order wrong for it. Yeah, I got the order and the names wrong but I heard from that you really nailed it.

Clint is most famous for his appearance in the supporter film. He was guarding Jackie Kennedy in those days and ran to the convertible in Dallas

Moments after the president was assassinated and went about the business of protecting the first lady as best he could in extraordinary circumstances

I didn't know any of this when I walked into a bar and waited to place my drink and saw a man about my dad's age in front of me placing his drink

And the guy ordered a Clint and the bartender said what's in a Clint and the man reached into his sport coat and pulled out a business card and handed to the bartender and the bartender said okay I got it

And I'm immediately struck by the fact that this guy is carrying around a business card with his drink on it. This guy does that.

Whoever he is he's a man who knows what he wants and I start up a conversation with the guy along the lines of you strike me as a man who knows what he wants

And he laughed and he said yes I am and he showed me his card and it said the Clint and the recipe for his drink of choice which he had christened the Clint is on the card along with a picture of the cocktail properly mixed

I just I mean if that's not the basis for a conversation right I don't know what is so I ask if the Clint in question is him and he says yeah and we just start chatting and I learned that he was in the secret service and then I learned that he guarded five different presidents and that he was the guy on the scene the day Kennedy was assassinated

It's just one of those moments you know I'm like what a strange way to meet an interesting guy and correct me if I'm wrong but the day that this occurred was the day before president's day in 2019
