Well, this morning mindset, we're going to be talking about an uncomfortable subject, a difficult subject, and that is the subject of judgment.

We see in the subject of judgment.

We see in the Book of Exodus, which is where we've been spending our time the last two to three

weeks, that in the life of Moses, God did some amazing things, not just to reveal himself to Moses and the people

of Israel, but to reveal himself to the people of Egypt, the oppressors of the Israelites, the

ones who had held them as slavery for over 400 years.

God is showing himself to them.

And in this case he's doing it through judgment.

Now judgment is kind of a negative word in our culture. We don't like it

when people judge when people make judgments. You hear people quite often say

don't judge me or I have no right to judge.

And what they are trying to communicate is that judgment in some way is negative.

Well, let me just say this real quickly. Judgment in and of itself is not negative.

Judgment is just making a discerning assessment of a situation or of a person's actions or of your own motives.
