As a lot of you know, I'm not much of a rankings guy.

Fantasy football shouldn't be played in some linear fashion.

And that's what rankings tell us.

They tell us that this guy is one spot better than this next guy, who's one spot better

than this next guy.

Making tears makes a lot more sense to me, but even still, when you're married to a list,

you're not going to be as flexible as strategy in reacting to what's going on during your

draft.

That's why rankings don't really do it for me.

But I do understand why they're helpful.

Not everyone is looking at the game the way that some of us degenerates are.

To be completely honest, rankings make for good content.

Even if I don't strictly follow my rankings during a draft, those same rankings are telling.

They tell me which players I generally like more than others.

And if you're consuming the rankings yourself, they're telling you that exact same thing.
